Kaibet Transformer has successfully completed the production of two custom-designed oil-immersed transformers for a Kenyan client, with capacities of 1500 kVA and 630 kVA respectively. Both units have now passed factory testing, quality inspection, and remote customer acceptance, and have been dispatched to the port, ready for loading and shipment.
Customized Solutions for Diverse Grid Needs
The 1500 kVA transformer is equipped with an oil conservator, specifically designed to handle medium-capacity distribution loads in the Kenyan power network. The 630 kVA transformer features all-copper windings and an optimized insulation system adapted for tropical climates, providing reliable performance for local distribution applications. Both transformers have been manufactured in strict compliance with IEC and GB standards, ensuring they meet the rigorous requirements of East African power infrastructure.
Rigorous Testing and Remote Acceptance
Prior to shipment, both transformers underwent comprehensive factory routine tests, including turns ratio tests, no-load and load loss tests, impedance voltage tests, power-frequency withstand voltage tests, and induced overvoltage withstand tests. Although the client did not visit the factory in person, they requested video recordings of the entire testing process. All test data fell well within design and standard requirements. After reviewing the videos and test reports the next day, the customer confirmed full acceptance. This remote acceptance process highlights Kaibet's commitment to transparent quality assurance and a customer-centric service approach.
Quality Assurance and Export Packaging
At Kaibet, quality is strictly controlled from the design phase through final inspection. All transformers are fully tested and inspected before leaving the factory to ensure they are "healthy" and ready for grid integration. For export, each unit is carefully packed in heavy-duty wooden cases with moisture-proof and shock-absorbing protection, in full compliance with international freight standards. The packaging features proper IPPC marks and transport warning labels to ensure safe ocean transit, strictly adhering to the rule that oil-immersed transformers must not be tilted more than 15 degrees during transportation.
